Privacy Policy

Sleep Mind (the “App”) puts your privacy first. This policy explains, in plain language, what information the App collects, uses, and stores.
1. Information We Handle
The App handles: (a) mood entries you tap (a 1–5 value and optional note), (b) sleep duration and heart rate read from Apple Health (HealthKit), and (c) information needed to measure usage: a device identifier (iOS identifierForVendor), device model, OS version, language setting, app version, app launches and how long the app is used, screen views and time spent on each screen, and the type of action taken. We do not collect your Apple ID, legal name, address, location, date of birth, or photos.
2. HealthKit Data Handling
The App reads Sleep Analysis, Heart Rate and Resting Heart Rate from HealthKit on a read-only basis. The App never writes any data back to HealthKit. HealthKit data never leaves your device, is never sent to our servers, third parties, advertising networks, or analytics vendors, and is stored in the local database (Core Data) per Apple privacy requirements. HealthKit data is never used for advertising.
3. Off-Device Transmission
Your mood entries, notes, and the sleep and heart-rate values read from HealthKit are stored only on your device (Core Data) and are never transmitted. Separately, to improve the App, the usage information listed in 1(c) — device identifier, device model, OS version, language setting, app version, app launches and session length, screen views and time spent, and action type — is sent to a Supabase table named `factory_analytics_events`. This measurement is active whenever the App is running and is uploaded in batches roughly every 30 seconds and when the App moves to the background. Your name, mood note content, and HealthKit data are never included. No third-party advertising or analytics SDKs are embedded; we perform this measurement directly.
4. Third-Party Services
Purchases are handled by Apple App Store (StoreKit); the App does not receive payment information. Square and other external payment providers are not used. The usage information described in 1(c) is sent to Supabase Inc. (United States).
5. Data Retention & Deletion
Mood logs and other in-app data live on your device and are deleted entirely when you remove the App. The App performs no automatic cloud backup and has no device-to-device migration, so removing the App permanently destroys your history.
6. Your Rights
You may (a) revoke HealthKit permissions at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Sleep Mind, and (b) remove the App to delete on-device data permanently. The current version does not provide a way to delete individual entries or to erase all data from within the App.
7. Children
The App is not designed for direct use by individuals under 13. Use under parental supervision only.
8. Changes to This Policy
When we update this policy, we update the “Last updated” date on this page. The App has no in-app mechanism for announcing policy changes, so please check this page for the current version.
